Treasures in Heaven

Matthew 6:20-21 “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

A lot of things in life just aren't that important, like what brand of clothes you wear or what kind of car you drive. We spend a lot of time focusing on things that really don't matter in light of eternity. Five years from now it will all be out of style anyway. Instead, focus on the things that really do matter, like advancing God's kingdom, developing your spiritual life and serving the Lord with humility. By doing so, you'll store up rewards from God that will never grow old or go out of style and you'll keep for eternity. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Where are you storing up treasure -- on earth or in heaven? Do you think it's possible to do both? What consumes most of your time? Is that where your heart is?
